Mike is Professor of Biological Chemistry in the School of Chemistry at the University of Leeds. His research interests currently focus on the controlled modification of proteins with applications in engineering biology, biopharmaceutical development and diagnostic development. Other ongoing interests included aspects of biosynthesis, metabolism and peptide chemistry. In the ACROPATH project he leads the UK-based efforts to develop protein components of the ACROPATH sensing system.
